My Learner Type is an independent educational exploration service operated by the My Learner Type team. We are not a school, a recruiter, or a government program. You can reach us at help@mylearnertype.com for any question or privacy request.

My Learner Type ("we," "our," or "us") provides a short quiz that suggests learning directions and programs based on your answers, and then connects you with our school-matching partner, Compare Top Degrees. This Privacy Policy explains how the site handles information and the choices you have.

The short version: your quiz runs entirely in your browser. Your answers are processed on your device to generate your results and are not sent to us and not stored on our servers. When you leave our site, your answers are cleared.

We do not collect or store your quiz answers. The responses you select are used only within your browser, on your device, to calculate your learner results, subject matches, and program recommendations. They are never transmitted to us and are not saved once you close or refresh the page.

We do collect limited, standard information that most websites receive or use: aggregate visit measurements from our hosting provider, and advertising and measurement information when you arrive from an ad campaign (described below). We never ask for your name, email address, or phone number on this site.

• To generate and display your quiz results and program recommendations on your device.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the site.
• To measure how our advertising performs and how many people visit each page.
• To respond to questions or support requests you send us.

Hosting measurement. Our hosting provider runs privacy-focused, cookie-free visitor telemetry that counts page views and monitors that the site is up and working. It records aggregate traffic information only, and it does not record your quiz answers.

Advertising and measurement. Because we promote this site through paid advertising, we may use advertising and measurement technologies — including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, conversion tracking, and similar tools from advertising platforms. These tools may set cookies or similar identifiers on your device and may report events such as page views and clicking through to our school-matching partner, so we can understand which ads work. They do not receive your individual quiz answers or results.

Campaign and click identifiers. When you arrive from an ad, the link you clicked may include campaign tags or a click identifier (for exampleutm_source or fbclid). We may pass those same tags along in the link to our school-matching partner so that a referral can be attributed to the right campaign. These are campaign and click identifiers only — your quiz answers and results are never included in that link.

Your controls. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage ad personalization in your ad platform account (for example, Facebook or Instagram ad settings). Many browsers also offer tracking protection and Global Privacy Control signals.

Apart from the above, the only other storage used is temporary, browser-only memory (such as remembering your quiz progress while your browser is open). It stays on your device, is not sent to us, and disappears when you close or refresh the page.

We do not sell your information, and we never receive your quiz answers, so there are no quiz answers for us to share. When you continue, you land on the website of our school-matching partner, Compare Top Degrees (comparetopdegrees.com), where you choose your subject and program yourself and may be asked for contact information and your consent to be contacted by calls, texts, or emails about relevant programs. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policy. The only thing that can travel with you in that link is a campaign or click identifier, as described above.

Advertising and measurement platforms receive the event information described in the section above. We may also share information with service providers that help us operate the site, or when required by law.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete it, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, the use of advertising and measurement technologies described above (such as the Meta Pixel) may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws. You can opt out by blocking cookies in your browser, by using a Global Privacy Control signal, by adjusting ad settings in your ad platform account, or by emailing us at help@mylearnertype.com.

Because your quiz answers are never collected or stored by us, there are no quiz results held by us to access, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, contact us using the details below and we will respond within the timeframe required by your state's law.

Because your answers are never stored, restarting or retaking the quiz simply clears them from your browser. Since we do not hold personal information from the quiz, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf — any information you provided to the school-matching partner is handled by them under their own privacy policy.

Because your quiz answers are never transmitted to or stored on our servers, the main risk in that part of the experience stays on your own device. For any information you provide on our school-matching partner's website, the partner is responsible for its security under their own practices.

This site is intended for adults 18 and over exploring education options. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided information through our school-matching partner, contact them directly — we do not receive or store quiz information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent version.
